For the one wrestling with disappointment and divine silence, this is your reminder: God hasnβt forgotten you.
You lie on the bed,
staring blankly into a ceiling that was meant to be the sky.
It used to be your way of escaping the million thoughts running through your mind,
but there are some thoughts that refuse to be silenced.
The splendor of the well-defined stars in your mind seemed to be the only beautiful thing left in a life like yours.
After years of putting in so much effort to make it all work,
you finally began to believe maybe they were right.
Maybe you really didnβt have what it takes.
Itβs hard to accept it.
To come to terms with the weight of exhaustion.
The questions keep circling,
like restless birds:
βWhere was He through it all?β
Itβs hard to pretend youβre unmoved by the emotions that rise.
People try to encourage you with soothing words that only sting.
The tears gather till you donβt even have to blink before they fall.
You blank out, hoping to grow numb,
because this fragile heart canβt take another ache.
And then it hits you.
You failed.
The promises.
The professed words.
The proclaimed scriptures.
None of it seems to make sense anymore.
Failure has a name,
and it feels like itβs yours.
You wear it like sleeves on your arm,
carry it like an identity,
see it reflected in the eyes of everyone who stops to stare.
And yet, somewhere deep down, you still hope.
That someday, Abba will look down in mercy,
and lift you again.
Because all things are meant to work together for your good,
even when faith feels like failure.

Sometimes, even faith needs time to feel like faith again.
